Who are the REAL “Snake Oil” Salesmen?

Learn more about the powerful infection-fighting qualities of colloidal silver at www.TheSilverEdge.com...
If you’ve been using colloidal silver or other natural health products for any length of time, you’ve seen the barrage of accusations from proponents of Big Pharma’s drugs who claim that natural remedies are nothing more than “snake oil.”

These accusations are often published in major magazines such as Reader’s Digest, Consumer Reports and others, where they’ll have the most psychological impact on the general public.

The idea of course is that by labeling natural remedies as “snake oil,” people who are considering trying them will never take the chance out of fear of harming themselves with so-called “unproven natural remedies.”

But all too often, it’s the people yelling “snake oil” the loudest who are the real perpetrators of fraudulent medications.

Indeed, a brand new study shows that nearly half of all clinical drug trials are based on false information and bogus science. And some of the top drug research experts in the world are now calling out Big Pharma over the fraud and corruption behind their drugs.

So who are the real purveyors of “snake oil”?  Here’s the scoop you won’t hear from your nightly news broadcasters…

Hi, Steve Barwick here, for The Silver Edge

According to a recent article on NaturalNews.com, a brand new review of clinical drug trials shows that nearly half of them are based on false information.  As Natural News revealed:

One of the most important responsibilities of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in protecting public health is to conduct regular inspections of clinical trial sites to ensure that good clinical practices are being followed.

But a new study published in the peer-reviewed journal JAMA Internal Medicine has found that nearly half of all clinical trials are based on false information, and the FDA typically does nothing to address this widespread problem.”

You see, the real “snake oil salesmen” work for Big Pharma.  They carefully craft the bogus clinical trials used by the FDA to approve new drugs.  And afterwards, they use those same bogus clinical trials to convince doctors to prescribe those new drugs to people like you and me.

Worse yet, according to the new review of clinical trials, the FDA itself is right in there with the drug researchers, covering up the fraudulent information the studies are being based upon.

Indeed, according to the author of the review, Charles Seife, M.S., of New York University, the FDA knows full well about this rampant fraud within the medical and scientific research community, but has done nothing to stop it.  Seife writes:

The FDA has repeatedly hidden evidence of scientific fraud not just from the public, but also from its most trusted scientific advisors, even as they were deciding whether or not a new drug should be allowed on the market…

…For an agency devoted to protecting the public from bogus medical science, the FDA seems to be spending an awful lot of effort protecting the perpetrators of bogus science from the public.

Yes, in all too many cases, Big Pharma’s drug researchers base their studies on phony data, and the FDA goes along with it, hand in glove.  The drugs get approved, even though the clinical data behind them is largely based on lies.

So it’s not just “snake oil” the big drug companies are producing.  It’s government-approved snake oil.

Drugs that Don’t Work
Are the Real “Snake Oil”

All of this comes on the heels of an admission several years back by Allen Roses, a senior executive at Europe’s largest drug maker, GlaxoSmithKline.

Roses stated that 90% of Big Pharma’s prescription drugs work in only 30-50% of the people.

Put another way, 90% of Big Pharma’s drugs are completely ineffective for up to 70% of the people they’re prescribed and sold to.  That’s the very definition of “snake oil,” I think you’ll agree!

Astonishing, right?

But wait, there’s more:  According to the Britain’s top daily newspaper, The Independent, everybody but the general public knows about this fraud being perpetrated by Big Pharma.

As The Independent further revealed in their article on Allen Roses’ revelations:

It’s an open secret within the drug industry that most of its products are ineffective in most patients.”

Let me repeat that quote, because it’s very important to let it really sink in:  “It’s an open secret within the drug industry that most of its products are ineffective in most patients.

As you let that sink in a moment, consider the fact that some four billion drug prescriptions per year are written in the U.S. alone, at a total of $329.2 billion dollars in costs to consumers.

What’s more, total worldwide sales of prescription drugs are soon expected to top one trillion dollars.  That’s a lot of snake oil, folks – enough to reach to the moon and back several times over.

Finally, Big Pharma spends some $4 billion per year in the U.S. alone, advertising their prescription drugs to consumers, and an additional $24 billion per year lobbying doctors to prescribe them to you.

In other words, Big Pharma spends tens of billions of dollars every single year to convince you and your doctor that their drugs are both safe and effective, when in reality nearly half of them are based on false information and the vast majority of them don’t even work for most of the people they’re prescribed for.

Criminal Racketeering

If the U.S. federal government was looking for a new RICO case to prosecute – i.e., a clear case of criminal racketeering and corruption – this is where they’d find it.

But that’s never going to happen, because they’d have to arrest the entire upper echelon of the FDA, as well, since the FDA not only knows this is happening, but looks the other way.

The Independent went on to say, “Roses is a smart guy and what he’s saying will surprise the public but not his colleagues.”

So the fact that most of Big Pharma’s drugs don’t work for most people is well-known among doctors, researchers, drug developers and others in the prescription drug development market.  They know their drugs are largely…well…snake oil

It’s the general public that’s been kept in the dark and led to believe that if a drug has been studied by researchers and approved by the FDA, its effectiveness has been proven beyond any shadow of a doubt for the vast majority of people.

In reality, nothing could be further from the truth.  At best, most prescription drugs are little better than sugar pills for most people.

Worse Than You Might Think

All of this follows a 2014 admission by Dr. Peter Gotzsche of the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, who is widely considered to be the world’s leading expert on clinical studies of pharmaceutical drugs.

Gotzsche stated that the big drug companies have been fudging and faking their data for decades, putting the lie to the whole premise of “evidence-based medicine” or “science-based medicine.”

According to Dr. Gotzsche:

"The public needs to know the extent to which they are being deceived in the current system, e.g. few people know that prescription drugs are the third major killer behind heart disease and cancer.  If drug testing and drug regulation were effective, this wouldn’t happen."

Yes, that’s what I’ve been saying for years.

Big Pharma’s drug-testing is always suspect, because the big drug companies completely control it.

Their own scientists do the testing.  Not independent third parties.  And the drug companies maintain airtight secrecy over the results.  What’s more, in most cases the big drug companies get to pick and choose which study results the FDA gets to see and which they don’t.

And in all too many cases, the regulatory agencies like the FDA merely review the submitted research and accept the data without question, and then rubber stamp it “approved.”

So you have FDA-approved drugs now constituting the third leading cause of death behind heart disease and cancer, which can only lead to the conclusion that drug regulation itself is little more than a vast farce – a costly multi-billion dollar per year ritual designed to deceive the public into believing the drugs are actually “safe and effective” when quite often they’re neither.

In reality, the so-called “drug approval process” is tantamount to the granting of a government monopoly to legally sell medications that don’t work for most people – which, of course, once again, is the very definition of a “snake oil salesman.”

Lies About Drugs

Dr. Gotzsche goes on to say that drug companies “Don’t sell drugs, they sell lies about drugs.

And he documents in his new book, “Deadly Medicines and Organized Crime:  How Big Pharma Has Corrupted Health Care,” the simple fact that the drug companies are in essence criminal organizations.  He states forthrightly:

Organized crime is the business model of big pharma.”

Now remember, that’s straight from the horse’s mouth.  Dr. Gotzsche is widely acknowledged to be the world’s leading expert on Big Pharma’s clinical drug studies.  He’s an insider’s insider.

Is it any wonder then that some 106,000 Americans each and every year are killed by properly prescribed and properly used FDA-approved drugs?

After all, if nearly HALF the studies behind these drugs are based on bogus information, it should be no big surprise that an astonishing 209 Americans are killed by these same drugs every single day, year in, and year out, like clockwork.

Put another way, the deaths caused by Big Pharma’s drugs are the equivalent of a 9-11 attack on this country every two weeks

Yet it’s these death-dealing purveyors of fraudulent drugs who smugly and gleefully label proponents of natural health remedies as “snake oil salesmen.”

Will the Real Snake Oil Salesmen
Please Stand Up…

So who are the real snake oil salesmen?

Well, they wear white smocks and pocket protectors, and work in FDA-approved labs, spending most of their time trying to get published in the major medical and scientific journals, so they can get their company’s drugs approved.

And if they have to fudge the facts nearly 50% of the time in order to get their study published or their drug approved, well…hell…no big deal.  After all, just about everybody’s doing it.  And – shhhh! don’t tell anybody -- the FDA doesn’t care.

As television comedian John Oliver stated after hearing the news that drug company testing results are often based on bogus information, “Drug companies are a bit like high school boyfriends.  They’re much more concerned with being inside of you, than being effective once they’re in there.”

But for God’s sake, don’t try to tell people about the proven healing benefits of herbs, vitamins, minerals, amino acids or other natural substances like colloidal silver.  That instantly relegates you to the category of “snake oil salesman,” destined only for public ridicule.

Folks, the public ridicule should be reserved for those actually committing the gross medical and scientific fraud – billions and billions of dollars worth of fraud, annually.

So the next time you see a proponent of Big Pharma calling a proponent of natural health remedies a “snake oil salesman,” let them know what you think about it.

Hit ‘em with both verbal barrels, and don’t be shy about it.  Unleash the beast within you.  Take the bastards down.

There’s an old saying that ‘sunlight is the best antiseptic.’  Well, throw the light of truth on ‘em, and watch ‘em squirm like cockroaches as they head back into the cracks and crevices from which they crawled out of.

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is this:  Nature is not a fraud.  Nature is what God gave us for healing.

It’s the purveyors of synthetic toxic chemical drugs that all-too-often cure nothing, and that kill over one million people every 10 years -- who are the true frauds, con artists, fakes, quacks, scammers and snake oil salesmen.

And worst of all, they have a license from the government to get away with their fraud and corruption, which lines their pockets with hundreds of billions of dollars annually.
